Jana’s career in sustainability began with a strong foundation built on both academic rigor and hands-on experience in asset management.
She first entered the field of sustainable finance as an ESG and sustainability analyst at Meridiam, a leading infrastructure investment fund focused on sustainable investment. In 2021, she joined Philippe Hottinguer Gestion, an asset management firm specializing in European small and micro caps. There, she took on the challenge of establishing the company’s ESG department from the ground up. As Head of ESG, Jana led the development of the firm’s sustainability strategy, overseeing its integration at both the organizational and fund levels. Her responsibilities extended across various critical areas, including in-depth analysis and research, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and keeping pace with evolving sustainability regulations.
Building on her experience in sustainable finance, Jana co-founded Blufin, driven by a vision of making sustainable investing both accessible and comprehensible for investors and corporations alike. Her goal is to ensure that sustainability becomes not just an regulatory obligation, but a tangible benefit for all stakeholders involved, transforming the way businesses and investors approach responsible, ethical and sustainable decisions and strategy.
Jana’s academic achievements complement her professional expertise. She holds a Master’s degree in International Economic Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and is Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA®). Currently, she is pursuing a doctoral thesis exploring the evolving regulatory landscape of sustainable finance.
